Reporting into the Registrar, the Assistant Registrar will be responsible for the following duties:
Perform all certification and communication functions with respect to Veteran’s GI Bill benefits.
Provides training to on-campus constituents with respect to VA benefits.
Develops and executes communication plans for VA students who need assistance with their benefits.
Manage and coordinate the maintenance and update of the master course schedule including room, faculty and capacity assignments; distribution of the schedule to campus constituents and revisions as necessary in compliance with academic regulations.
Manage and coordinate the maintenance and update of the College Academic catalog including gathering information from College departments; ensuring the timely entry of information into the print and electronic versions, including those in the Student Information System; maintaining history of catalog changes/edits and serving as the principle source of expertise in this area.
Runs reports, as necessary, that pertain to room utilization, faculty load and other areas related to academic scheduling.
Demonstrate strict adherence to privacy laws and concerns especially FERPA,and HIPA.
Promotes organization policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations; advises College personnel regarding the development and implementation of regulatory strategy, potential areas of regulatory concern, and new government/regulatory developments.
Reviews and approves documentation relating to needs specific to assigned area(s).
Functionally supervises assigned staff.
Participates in evaluations, employee selection and other personnel actions, and provides direction and guidance regarding job methods, standards and operations.
Acts as liaison between department and internal or external customers; participates in various committees, professional training, industry conferences, and conventions.
Complies with all State and College policies.
Other duties may be assigned.

Bachelor's Degree Required.
Required Field of Expertise: Experience in higher education, particularly in the areas of Registrar, student records or student affairs are required.
Preferred Field of Expertise: 0-2 years' experience in a Registrar's office.
Strong analytical, customer service, computer and supervision skills
