This position serves food to patrons. The individual is responsible for service set-up and clean up for guest service at lunch and dinner. Must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a food service practice. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.
High school diploma or equivalent education plus six months to one year of related experience is required.
Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 1-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Knowledge of customer service, table service, and safe serve principles.
Skilled in responding to questions from guests, co-workers, and supervisors.
Skilled with basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret and act on a variety of instructions which may be furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to read and understand technical procedures and/or government regulations and written instructions and manuals.
