Frostburg State University, College of Business, seeks applications for a full-time, tenure-track Instructor/Assistant Professor of Management position in the area of Human Resource Management for its Department of Management. This position is available to begin Fall 2016. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience; University System of Maryland benefits package included.
Responsibilities: Teach graduate and undergraduate Human Resource Management classes and/or other management courses, such as Organizational Behavior, both face-to-face and online with appropriate and solid research productivity within discipline.

The College of Business has a growing reputation for addressing the rapidly changing landscape of business through its emphasis on global experiential learning. While the College’s primary focus is teaching, maintenance of academic qualifications includes productivity in the area of Intellectual Contributions. Service activities to the College include student advising and select committee assignments.
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants should have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate teaching excellence. ABD candidates with a firm completion date will be considered for appointment at the rank of Instructor. Previous teaching experience in the discipline required. If degree or concentration/focus is not specifically in Human Resource Management, candidate must demonstrate that refereed publications and other intellectual contributions will make him/her academically qualified in the discipline.
Preferred Qualifications: Earned doctorate in Human Resource Management or closely related management discipline required for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. Graduation from an AACSB-accredited research program preferred. Teaching and scholarship in Organizational Behavior is desired. Strong candidates will have experience in associations such as the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and leading HR credentials such as the PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) designation.
