Detailed Job Description
The Director of Undergraduate Admission provides direction and leadership to the Undergraduate Admission office for managing and executing departmental strategies to accomplish institutional goals. The person in this position engages in strategic planning, program development, and the recruitment of U.S. based students to Bentley University. This position supervises members of the admission staff and provides leadership and guidance to the entire admission team in direct support of the Executive Director. �
Additional Description of Duties:
Develop the Regional Leadership model, and manage the Regional Leaders assigned to each geographical area in the U.S. Supervise members of the admission staff and provide leadership and guidance to the entire admission team. �
Provide input and manage a strategic plan for the successful development and execution of all student, guidance counselor and parent admission events and programs.
Provide input and manage the strategic plan for the annual recruitment of freshmen students to Bentley University.
Provide input and manage a strategic plan for the optimal visitor experience for students, parents and guidance counselors.
Provide input and manage the strategic plan for a successful application review. Manage the overall process for application review and evaluation for domestic and international students.
As a senior manager on the Bentley campus, the director collaborates with other offices on the campus to achieve excellence in customer service delivery systems throughout the enrollment process.
Lead and direct a staff of exempt admission counselors to achieve maximum process, technology and human resource efficiencies in the execution of programs and activities.
Responsible for the professional development of staff as individual and team contributors.
Serve on the senior management team with other Directors in the planning and implementation of office goals and objectives.
MA/MS degree or the equivalent combination of training and experience plus 10+ years of related experience.
Demonstrated organizational, managerial, leadership, communication and presentation skills. Commitment to working with staff and students with diverse backgrounds. An understanding of enrollment management issues at a national and international level. Proven commitment to technological advancement in their approach to work and staff development. Ability to handle multiple tasks under time constraints and pressure.
License(s) Required for the Position
Must hold and maintain a valid, unrestricted United States driver's license, with an insurable driving history as determined by Bentley's insurance carrier.
