Participate in multiple levels of computer application development; including analysis, design, requirements definition, development, testing, implementation, training, and production support.
Provide project leadership on major systems implementation projects including development, maintenance of project plans and planning and managing the required resources. i.e. Citrix, Data Mining, Sharepoint, Virtual desktop, Oracle, SQL, Linux.
Document and analyze requirements and produce specifications for programs, functions, computer applications and projects.
Develop written proposals for projects.
Design, develop, modify, test, provide support and problem resolution of computer applications.
Provide technical guidance to hardware technicians.
Provide formal and informal training on a variety of computer application related topics (including projects, programs, and functions) to FSB IT and to clients.
Design, develop, modify, test and implement computer applications.
Work with faculty, students and staff in a proactive manner, offering solutions to problems and continually striving to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their business operation.
Build positive relationships with clients.
Learn and understand FSB processes and functions.
Serve as a liaison between FSB IT and Central IT staff.
Actively promote a customer-oriented approach throughout FSB IT.
Participate in professional development activities.
Recommend new ways of performing tasks or processes that impact the team.
Has a strong work ethic & ability to work independently.
Participate in diverse, cross-functional teams and projects, recognizing the value of a variety of talents and knowledge.
Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Standard working hours, after-hours support as required.
A bachelor's degree in a computer-related discipline, ISA, MIS, CIS, or computer science and four years of work experience using database management systems in application development or an associate’s degree in a computer-related discipline, ISA, MIS, CIS, or computer science and six years of work experience using database management systems in application development or ten years of work experience using database management systems in application development; two years maintaining Windows or Linux server environment; two years of work experience with project management, system analysis, and application/system design (may be concurrent).
Four years of demonstrated knowledge of relational database management systems; two years of demonstrated verbal and written communication skills including communicating technical information in terms understandable to the end user; demonstrated problem solving abilities and experience; demonstrated customer service skills, including diplomatically, patiently, and successfully handling complaints, problems, questions, conflict, and suggestions; demonstrated ability and willingness to work independently or as part of a team in a team environment; demonstrated ability and willingness to learn and keep current with technology changes - both on the job and on your own; desired specific areas of knowledge: developing web applications that are accessibility (ADA) compliant.
