Biology/Project Dragonfly: Software Developers (hiring two positions) will work with a creative team at Miami University onsite or remotely to develop and maintain cross-platform learning systems and interactives used by U.S. and worldwide partners to support university courses, environmental stewardship, and global understanding.
Assignments include writing code to create software that runs in a web browser, desktop application, or other platforms, and writing code that allows that software/application to communicate with servers over the Internet. Support and further develop an in-house learning management system used for university coursework and cross-site collaboration among leading public learning institutions such as the San Diego Zoo, Wildlife Conservation Society (New York), Brookfield Zoo (Chicago), Cincinnati Zoo, and the Woodland Park Zoo (Seattle). Work with an innovative team to create new interactives that advance ecological and social change. Travel to U.S. or global conservation sites to co-develop new learning solutions may also be possible.
