The Assistant Director for Marketing and Public Relations directs and manages all internal and external communications for the academic support units in Global Initiatives (GLI) in collaboration with staff and stakeholders.
Develop and execute strategic plan for internal and external print and web communications intended to promote and market GLI opportunities and programs to increase enrollments and visibility, and to communicate with stakeholders and constituents.
Design and deliver print and web materials; manage web and social media presence.
Hire and effectively manage and supervise staff and student employees.
Represent GLI in campus and off-campus committees and events; coordinate GLI public events.
Two years of applicable experience.
Demonstrated ability to:
Work collaboratively and cooperatively with diverse stakeholders;
Maintain a high level of productivity in fast-paced, deadline driven, multi-functional environment;
Work independently, use time constructively, and prioritize in alignment with institutional goals;
Edit print and web documents for content, length, style, and consistency;
Use and develop expertise in relevant and progressive information design and visualization technologies.
Experience in higher education or international education.
Three to five years of experience, post-Bachelor’s degree.
