The Dickinson College Department of French and Italian invites applications for a full-time, one-year sabbatical replacement position in French Language, Literature, and Culture, beginning Fall 2013. We seek a candidate in hexagonal French Studies with a focus on early modern or gender studies, who can teach effectively at all levels of the curriculum. Demonstrated excellence in teaching and the ability to create inclusive learning environments for an increasingly diverse student body will be important characteristics of the successful candidate. Courses typically include the language requirement sequence, writing-intensive courses in the major, and an advanced course in one's area of specialization. Near native fluency in French is required. Ph.D. is preferred.
