The position reports to the Head Men's and Women's Cross Country and Women's Track Coach.Experience in recruiting and or strength and conditioning would be helpful. Candidate must have the ability to develop and implement specific training programs. The successful candidate must demonstrate a proven aptitude for coaching as illustrated by a strong work ethic, organizational skills and the ability to interact professionally within the department, the campus and the northeast community.
Responsibilities include coaching for Men's Cross Country during the traditional fall season and through the non-traditional spring season. Responsibilities will include writing workouts, team management including adhering to all Quinnipiac, Northeast Conference, NEICAAA, IC4A and NCAA rules and regulations. Extensive weekend travel and supervision is required. Recruiting and documentation for all male athletes will be necessary.
High School diploma required. Bachelor's degree desired. Preference will be given to candidates with previous successful Cross Country/Track playing and/or experience (college level preferred). Experience in recruiting is preferred but not required, and experience with administration and coordination of a collegiate Cross Country/Track program which focuses on the total development of the Cross Country/Track student-athlete is preferred as well. The successful candidate must demonstrate a proven aptitude for coaching as illustrated by a strong work ethic, organizational skills and the ability to interact professionally within the department, the campus and the national Cross Country/Track community.
