Serves as a member of the leadership team in the Office of the University Registrar. Directly responsible for managing and enhancing all processes with the Office of the University Registrar for registration, academic record maintenance, and enrollment certification processes. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining Banner database and National Student Clearinghouse applications pertaining to registration, academic records, and enrollment certification processes. This professional registrar position is responsible for ensuring accuracy of registration records, grades, and enrollment status records.
Directs workflow and assigns tasks to the Office of the University Registrar support staff. Has significant input in performance evaluations of classified staff responsible for academic records and registration. Ensures compliance with processing schedules and timelines.
Hires, trains, schedules, and supervises all student worker staff in the Office of the University Registrar. Trains office staff and One Stop staff on processes related to transcripts, registration, enrollment, and academic record changes.
Provides guidance to faculty, department/division administrators, and students on all campuses to facilitate accurate and appropriate changes to academic records and enrollment reporting.
Conducts audits of changes made on all campuses to academic records ensuring compliance with university policy and federal regulations.
Develops and disseminates ongoing reports and communications to ensure accuracy of academic records and enrollment reporting (e.g., NSC submissions, grade changes, withdrawals, time ticketing)
Directs subpoena compliance process, including review of subpoena for validity and FERPA implications; consults with University Counsel as needed.
Directs the enrollment reporting compliance process for all campuses including all NSC/NSLDS reporting and problem resolution.
Directs the registration time ticketing process for all semesters/terms for all campuses, including creation of master registration schedule, testing of master registration schedule, assigning time tickets for all students, and auditing of course registration codes which impact registration dates and refunding.
Conducts review of and analyzes data related to unofficial withdrawal for Return of Title IV compliance.
Coordinates testing of Banner and NSC enrollment data reporting and transcript ordering interfaces for upgrades, enhancements, and production issues.
Coordinates teacher certification program updates with Student Financial Assistance, senior permission authorizations, and hard copy record conversions for all campuses.
Directs daily production of official transcripts as well as special transcript processing for inclusion with diplomas.
Resolves the most complex issues related to registration and academic records escalated from the One Stop for Student Success.
Creates and directs posting of announcements on myMiami for students, faculty, & advisors.
Audits and analyzes academic standing assigned to all students on all campuses at end of term; manages suspension/dismissal notifications to students and academic divisions at end of each semester/term.
Serves as liaison to, and provides primary support for, the academic regulation exception petitioning process for all academic divisions on all campuses.

Bachelor’s degree plus two years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, with increasing responsibilities in a Registrar’s Office, academic division/departmental, or student services office including functions and practices.
Must possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communications skills congruent with collaborative management style.
Experience working within a team environment.
Working knowledge of Ellucian (Banner) and Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Microsoft Word) Suite products.
Knowledge of the operations of a student services office, as well as knowledge of related state/federal laws such as FERPA.
Experience with staff training and supervision.
