Under immediate supervision, provides general office support. The position serves as secretarial support for the day-to-day operations of the assigned areas including preparing correspondence and reports as directed.
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, copying forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Proficient in computer software skills e.g. word processing & spreadsheets
The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.
Ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one from predefined guidelines or solutions
Ability to easily navigate the internet
Ability to use interpersonal and communications skills to represent the work area
High School Degree, supplemented with one to three 1-3 years of related experience
Greet Visitors or callers and handle their inquiries or direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs
Respond to inquiries requiring a basic understanding of work area policies and procedures, and generate basic reports and handle multiple projects
Schedule and confirm appointments for clients, customers, or supervisors. Make copies of correspondence or other printed material.
