Reporting to the Sr. Network Administrator, the Jr. Systems Administrator, responsibilities will include:
Virtual Environment Administration- Install, configure and deploy servers. Utilize Vcenter to monitor and maintain virtual hosts and servers. Monitor and maintain storage usage and capacity.
Install and configure server applications. Monitor and restart application services as needed. Work with departments and vendors to configure and implement new server applications.
Active Directory Administration- Configure and maintain user accounts. Configure authentication for other systems.
Review, modify and maintain systems backup strategy. Monitor, maintain and test system backups.
Email Administration- Monitor and maintain email system and spam filter. Configure user accounts. Monitor user licenses.
Maintain hardware warranties and hardware/software support licenses.
Monthly system patches and upgrades. Critical security upgrades when necessary.
Draft and implement new policies with Supervisor. Create Standard Operating Procedures for cross-training.

Preferred Degree(s): coursework in computer science or relevant field.
Required Field of Expertise: technical support and systems administration.
Strong system troubleshooting, analysis and documentation required.
Experience with incident management frameworks and best practices in system maintenance.
Required Training/Cert: A++ or similar
Preferred Training/Cert: MCSA / MCSE
Proficiency with VMWare, Active Directory and virtual environment backup technologies.
Ability to deploy, maintain and support server operating systems such as Microsoft Windows, Linux and Apple OS X Server, Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2010/2013.
