The Spokane-based Applied Sciences Laboratory (ASL) of the Institute for Shock Physics (ISP) at Washington State University is seeking a Chemical Engineer (Administrative/Professional staff member) to support research activities in the physical sciences and engineering, with an emphasis on materials synthesis and scale-up processes.
The Chemical Engineer position supports a wide variety of research activities. The list below is a representative sample of those activities.
The overall responsibilities for this position are as follows:
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate related scientific or engineering discipline and three (3) years of progressively responsible related professional research experience. A Master’s degree in an relevant scientific or engineering discipline may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required work experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
