Under the direction of the Chief Flight Instructor, the Flight Training Coordinator manages the Flight Center Records Office and performs a variety of duties to ensure departmental compliance with university, state and federal guidelines and laws, including management of flight training student, employee and operational records, information management and reporting. Helps ensure compliance with Pilot School FAR Part 141 and TSA requirements. Responsible for managing student and instructor training schedule assignments. Administers the CATS testing center. Graduation from an accredited institution with an bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or a combination of education and experience totaling four years.
Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations Parts 61 and 141.
Knowledge of the pilot training process.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of data management strategies, data filtering, and reporting.
Knowledge of TSA pilot school training and record-keeping requirements.
Skills in the development of organizational procedures and best practices for office management and record keeping.
Skills in interpersonal communication and problem solving.
Ability to follow verbal and written procedures and instructions.
Ability to use standard word processing and general computer applications.
Ability to work independently and work under pressure.
Ability to prioritize and follow projects through to successful completion.
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing and work with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
Ability to resolve employee and student conflicts or concerns.
Ability to coordinate and assist in the preparation and monitoring of department financial transactions.
