Job Responsibilities

• Provides one-on-one coaching and group career development and transition services to maximize program participants’ career development
• Coordinates and facilitates experiential learning opportunities for students
• Partners with the Employer Relations Specialist and faculty to identify potential employers to seek co-op, internship, and part-time employment for students
• Designs and delivers comprehensive development and transition services leveraging the College’s educational support systems
• Provides direct supervision of assigned staff including performance management, training, development, scheduling, etc.
• Actively participates in campus enrollment activities, retention initiatives, and other campus events and co-sponsorship opportunities
• Designs and facilitates workshops related to career exploration, job search strategies, and related topics as appropriate
• Conducts classroom presentation regarding Career Center services, electronic career exploration and assessment tools
• Updates curriculum and expands offerings
• Conducts proactive outreach to dislocated workers in the student population and area residents via community organizations, non-profit agencies, faith-based groups, etc.
• Represents Tri-C Career Centers to a wide variety of community organizations, professional associations, government agencies, non-profit entities, and partners in higher education
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Minimum of three years of demonstrated experience in a diverse and progressively responsible role related to talent acquisition, staffing/placement, employee development, career coaching/consulting, and/or fields related to career development and transition services
• Demonstrated experience supervising, planning, assigning, scheduling and ensuring the quality of the work of others
• Demonstrated experience making sound decisions that affect a work unit or team
• Demonstrated experience in a role requiring diverse problem solving methods in a variety of situations

• Possess working knowledge of career services concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to use in varied situations as it pertains to the departmental focus
• Ability to proficiently use a variety of internet tools and social networking sites as an employment sourcing tool
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and changing work environment requiring flexibility, sense of urgency, effective
• Demonstrated unwavering commitment to teamwork, diversity and inclusion
• Ability to effectively complete work assignments independently
• Ability to analyze data, recognize trends, develop recommendations and present findings in a clear and understandable manner

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a related field
