Job Responsibilities

Writes, designs, edits, distributes and monitors electronic communications including fundraising appeals, newsletters and related materials, to engage constituents

Assists with writing and production of communications pieces, including updates, reports, proposals, brochures, web content and other items

Engages constituents via Constant Contact, Net Community and related platforms

Assists with the development of a consistent, robust social media strategy to increase brand awareness, communicate with designated constituents to increase engagement and generate funding support

Integrates current, innovative technologies in resource development in Foundation practices

Assists with other Resource Development and Foundation initiatives as appropriate for success of the college, Foundation and the students we serve

Engages in Foundation fundraising activities and events

Maintains assigned records using the Raiser’s Edge

Monitors and provides reports on initiatives and activities

Establishes alumni council and recruits active leaders to increase engagement

Plans and produces engagement opportunities for constituents, including events and presentations

Collaborates and partners with College departments to strengthen engagement

Manages and maintains online giving resources and platform

Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications


Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, or a related field and/or a minimum of five years of demonstrated business marketing/outreach experience

Demonstrated experience developing and implementing successful electronic and social media materials and campaigns

Demonstrated experience making sound decisions that affect a work unit or team

Demonstrated experience in a role requiring diverse problem solving methods in a variety of situations


Possess working knowledge of marketing and social media concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to use in varied situations as it pertains to the departmental focus

Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Possess strong organizational and time-management skills

Work accurately with great attention to detail

Ability to prioritize/handle multiple tasks and work with deadlines in a dynamic environment

Ability to promote collaboration, teamwork, and involve all stakeholders in decision-making processes

Excellent customer service skills and proven ability to develop and sustain productive customer relationships

Ability to effectively complete work assignments independently

Intermediate-level project management skills

Advanced-level proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to confidentially and discreetly handle subject matters requiring privacy and sensitivity

Ability to collaborate, persuade, gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas on significant projects

Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key contacts to enhance work flow and quality

Possess sensitivity to appropriately respond to the needs of a diverse population

Work Schedule

Standard College hours of operation, Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm.
