Under the direction of Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Faculty, coordinate the Farmers Market Flash program including outreach, participant recruitment, curriculum design and development, creation of social marketing campaign, evaluation and reporting.
Conduct program planning through collaboration with community stakeholders and partners for effective program delivery, design and development of curriculum and acquisition of incentives for SNAP participants. Develop and implement a social media campaign to encourage SNAP-benefited shoppers to shop at Farmers Market. Coordinate training and support for farmer market vendors at selected markets. Establish activities such as field trips and youth programs to promote Farmers Market shopping to target audience. Oversee data collection, monitor evaluation and complete required reports.
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant extension program discipline and two (2) years of related program experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Experience with Microsoft Office word processing, databases, spreadsheets, graphics, publishing, communications and web search engines.
Experience in event management, financial management.
Customer service experience.
