Under general supervision, perform variety of delivery and warehousing responsibilities, including, but not limited to: moves, event set-ups, transfer of mail, record storage and receiving duties; serves as emergency personnel as directed.
Interpersonal/human relations skills
Ability to understand verbal and written instructions
Knowledge of delivery equipment and procedures
Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions of driving commercial vehicles
Ability to exert considerable effort in moving and lifting; ability to lift minimum of 75 pounds
Ability to work outdoors in cold and hot weather
High school diploma or equivalent; supplemented with one (1) year of related work experience. Must possess a valid class E chauffeur license and forklift experience preferred.
Receives parcels from multiple vendors and logs them into the computer; takes phone calls to locate packages and other items in warehouse; delivers packages and other supplies to appropriate departments; performs a variety of office, furniture, artwork and equipment moves; sets up and takes down large tents for outdoor event activities.
Works with record storage processing and deliveries; assists with snow removal responsibilities as directed
May serve as a member of the emergency essential personnel staff in the Facilities Services division and be required to report to work during a closing to assist in carrying out the services of the University;
Performs other duties as assigned.
