The successful candidate will be expected to conduct University Singers, the premier ensemble, and other choirs as needed. Additional duties include teaching graduate and undergraduate conducting.


The School of Music at the University of Alabama invites applications for a full-time temporary Instructor – Director of Choral Studies. This position is a non-tenure earning, 1-year appointment.
The successful candidate will be expected to conduct University Singers, the premier ensemble, and other choirs as needed. Additional duties include teaching graduate and undergraduate conducting.
A DMA in Choral Conducting and college-level teaching are required. ABD candidates will also be considered.
