The position requires teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels on topics such as database management systems, enterprise business process analysis, and enterprise business development. Teaching in online programs may also be expected. The normal teaching load is 6 hours (2 courses/semester). A productive research program is also required and must result in publications in high-quality journals. We are open to various MIS research areas and methodologies, although we are particularly interested in scholars with research interests related to the WSU Grand Challenges, including Sustaining Health, Sustainable Resources, Opportunity and Equity, Smart Systems, and National Security (https://research.wsu.edu/research-initiatives/grand-challenges/). The successful candidate will also be expected to make significant service contributions to the department, college, university, community, and profession commensurate with rank.
•An earned Ph.D. (or strong evidence of completion of Ph.D. before employment start date) in Information Systems or a closely related field by the hire date.
•Research record of publishing in and/or targeting the field’s premier journals.
•Demonstrated ability in teaching.
•To be considered for the level of Associate Professor, candidates are required to have six years of experience as an Assistant Professor or equivalent.
