Duties & Responsibilities: This position will report to the Director of Institutional Research and will provide technical support to administration, schools, faculty and staff. The individual will be responsible for administering national student engagement/satisfaction surveys, administering national employee satisfaction surveys; completing national surveys, assisting with state and federal reporting; administering institutional surveys and creating survey reports with online survey software; maintaining organizational charts for the College; updating the department’s and College’s Institutional Review Board web pages; collecting data for and publishing the IR Annual Report and the San Juan College Fact Book, and using national and state government and other web sites to gather data. The individual will need to be detail oriented and accurate; able to navigate and use the department’s extensive data, query, program, survey and report files. Work well with faculty and staff throughout the College; deal with sensitive and confidential student, personnel and institutional data in a professional and ethical manner. Duties also include, but are not limited to, navigating the College’s systems, running queries, running SAS programs, and following written report generation procedures for the department.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Social Science, Statistics or related field from an accredited college or university is required. Knowledge of research studies including data collection, analysis and reporting methods is required. The successful candidate must have Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook experience. Two years experience related to the job duties and responsibilities is preferred. Experience working with SAS, survey software and university ERP is preferred. Knowledge and experience in assessment of learning and Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP) is preferred. The successful candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills; excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills; the ability to coordinate multiple projects; verify accuracy and interpret data; and establish and maintain cooperative working relationships. The successful candidate will have a high energy level along with a strong commitment to the community college philosophy. Candidate should value diversity and have a multi-cultural perspective with adult/minority students.
Starting Salary: $31,000 - $35,000
