Under general supervision, performs secretarial duties, which include work requiring knowledge of specialized medical/scientific terminology; performs general secretarial duties as assigned.

Ability to type and operate a personal computer and modern office equipment
High school diploma; supplemented with two (2) years secretarial experience which includes one (1) year using medical/scientific terminology.
Prepares letters using Microsoft Office, performs secretarial duties requiring knowledge of specialized medical/scientific terminology; processes billing sheets.
Processes various materials, composes and types routine correspondence, memos, reports, etc.; schedules appointments and arranges meetings; may schedule tests, surgeries, procedures and patient consultations; may perform pre-admission certification; prepares and assembles conference and meeting materials.
Answers phone; refers, routes, or places calls; files correspondence and records; maintains inventory; responds to requests for information; receives, sorts, and distributes mail; may maintain supervisor’s calendar, provide back-up for other support staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
