Detailed Job Description

The Woodbury School of Business (WSB) invites applicants for a tenure-track position in Economics. Requirements include: a Ph.D. in economics from an accredited institution; a proven record of successful teaching, and a substantial record or promise of excellence in scholarship. The candidate should have the ability to teach a variety of courses at undergraduate and MBA levels. We are especially looking for someone with an interest and expertise in macroeconomics as well as applied areas such as economic development, public finance, or health economics.
The WSB is AACSB accredited with over four thousand business majors and an MBA program. UVU has a history of engaged teaching and learning with a formal classification by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching as "Community Engaged." It is one of the nation's most dynamic universities with some 30,000 students. The campus is located in Orem, Utah, 45 minutes south of Salt Lake City, with access to high-quality cultural events and outstanding outdoor activities.

The position requires a Ph.D. accredited university.

-Knowledge of student management, motivation, and evaluation.
-Knowledge of development and assessment of curriculum.

-Ability to effectively apply general principles to specific conditions.
-Ability to follow written and oral procedures and instructions.
-Ability to work effectively with people.
