Detailed Job Description

The Health Consultant provides independent, routine industrial hygiene consultation services including onsite visits to businesses and industries in Alabama.

Required Minimum Qualifications

A minimum of a bachelor's degree in industrial hygiene, biology, chemistry, environmental health, or closely related field with a minimum of two years of diversified industrial hygiene work experience; OR a minimum of a master's degree in industrial hygiene, biology, chemistry, environmental health, or closely related field with a minimum of one year of diversified industrial hygiene work experience. Student or Graduate Assistant, Intern, or student oriented experience will be considered. To be considered student experience, it must be detailed in the employment section on the application.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Able & willing to travel to remote, out-of-town locations within the state using a personal vehicle for at least three days per week (to include overnight stays). Valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record as determined by the insurance carrier. Willing to take medical exams periodically, if & when necessary, as required by OSHA regulations.

Skills and Knowledge:

Excellent written & oral communication, as well as, interpersonal skills. Basic skills in the use of personal computers

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a variety of industrial settings is preferred. A working knowledge of OSHA safety and health regulations is desirable, especially as related to OSHA 21 (d) consultation program. 57 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 31969.56 Midpoint - $ 46342.44
