The Assistant Registrar helps to maintain electronic and paper records of museum objects including loans, accession records, condition reports, locations, catalog entries, etc. and assists with the handling, movement, packing and shipping of objects using best museum practices.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Art History or a related field OR a combination of relevant education and work experience totaling four years.
Experience working with museum objects
Knowledge of museum registration methods and collections management.
Skills in organization.
Skills in communication.
Skills in object/collections handling.
Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal).
Ability to physically lift and move objects.
