The Bates College Department of Geology and Department of Physics and Astronomy invite applications for a renewable,  three-year, interdisciplinary Lectureship in Environmental Geophysics beginning in September 2016. Research fields for this position are open, but might include, e.g., atmospheric or climate science, fluid dynamics of the oceans, or environmental geotechnical fields. The successful candidate will teach four courses each year (a full course load is five courses) in addition to advising theses in a rigorous undergraduate program, with service requirements and research expectations subject to negotiation. ABD will be considered, Ph.D. preferred.
