Under general direction, analyzes business information processes and requirements; identifies potential business, privacy and security impacts; provides advice, guidance, and assistance to senior management as requested; is responsible for the measurement of quality standards; gathers and analyzes data in support of University business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements; validates information technology (IT) processes in order to maximize the benefit of business investments in IT initiatives; maintains departmental policies and procedures; performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, or related field; supplemented with three (3) years related work experience.
Implements, administers, and maintains systems’ access and change management controls; updates processes and procedures to prevent unauthorized access, modification, and/or destruction of key applications; Researches best practices to prevent unauthorized access, modification and/or destruction of key applications.
Assists in the preparation and presentation of privacy and security awareness training to University business process owners, users, and data custodians ; evaluates and recommends improvements to EHR and privacy monitoring systems. Designs and conducts audits of medical records, policies, procedures, best practices, training material, and information systems to ensure compliance with HIPAA, University and SLUCare Physician Group policies, and Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations; collaborates with the Privacy Officer and the Security Officer on conducting risk assessments and developing privacy and security awareness training.
Coordinates and ensures compliance with system disaster recovery/contingency plans to ensure rapid recovery of systems; conducts limited technical risk assessments; prepares reports for departmental review; develops and implements policies and procedures and serves as liaison between various business units, gathering information for recurring business impact analysis and risk assessments.
Collaborates on quality assurance initiatives and projects; facilitates, trains and advises the team on Lean methodologies; assist in performing defect root-cause analysis and recommend corrections; evaluates processes and system requirements to recommend changes, improve quality, identify critical processes, and document needed resources.
Participates in the development and review of life cycle phase deliverables, recommendations, selection, architecture, installation, and training of tools and planning; maintains departmental policies and procedures.
