Detailed Job Description

Manager of Alumni Scholarships and Endowments has the responsibility to oversee the entire scholarship application and selection process to assure outstanding students are recognized and attracted to The University. Develops programs which add value to being a UA alumnus or member of the NAA. Acts as the UA representative for legislative advocacy for the purpose of fostering a positive relationship with the state legislature.

Additional Department Summary:

This position oversees and compiles highly complex reports for the scholarship department, serves on the Alumni Task Force within the Higher Education Partnership, supervises scheduling for Alumni Scholarship Assistance Program (A$AP) sessions, and serves as a liaison to other departments across campus.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in communication, business, public relations, marketing, management or other relevant area and a minimum of three years experience in program administration. Knowledge of basic computer skills. Strong organizations skills and the ability to communicate effectively both written and oral.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report as determined by the insurance carrier.

Skills and Knowledge:

Proficiency in the usage of personal computer and standard applications software (word processing, spreadsheet and/or database management programs).

Preferred Qualifications:

One year of supervisory experience with professional knowledge and understanding of The University of Alabama and the National Alumni Association is preferred. Managerial skills, sound problem solving techniques and self-motivation are also essential. 58 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 37835.16 Midpoint - $ 54870.36
