Job Responsibilities


May work closely with High Tech Academy (HTA) staff and administrators to increase HTA to Tri-C conversion rates by creating a clearly defined transfer process and system of developing and maintaining academic plans for each student

May be responsible for the systemic tracking of HTA students transferring to Tri-C then to a four year institution

May work closely with upper-classmen to increase Tri-C completion rates by creating a clearly defined transfer process and system of developing and maintaining academic plans for each student

May be responsible for the systemic tracking of transfer-ready students transferring to and from Tri-C

Coordinates support efforts for new, continuing and transfer students including recruitment and retention strategies, with campus leadership

Assists in faculty development and student events communication efforts with transfer students and Metropolitan Campus faculty

Assists in the institutionalizing new practices and improvements in ongoing operations.

Assists in the systemic tracking of transfer students who use the services of the Transfer Center

May represent the department at College-wide events or to community constituents as directed

Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications



Master’s degree in education or a related field and a minimum of two years of demonstrated post-secondary instructional and student services experience

Demonstrated experience making sound decisions that affect a work unit or team

Demonstrated experience in a role requiring diverse problem solving methods in a variety of situations


Possesses working knowledge of student completion concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to use in varied situations as it pertains to the departmental focus

Possesses strong organizational and time-management skills

Possesses excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Works accurately with great attention to detail

Excellent customer service skills and proven ability to develop and sustain productive customer relationships

Demonstrated basic project management skills

Demonstrated intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to confidentially and discreetly handle subject matters requiring privacy and sensitivity

Ability to collaborate, persuade and gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas on significant projects

Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key contacts to enhance work flow and quality

Sensitivity to appropriately respond to the needs of a diverse population

8:30 – 5pm, Monday – Friday
