Detailed Job Description

Job Description:


  • Act as the GCC and Amherst Regional Public School  liaison during the hours GCC offers courses in the Amherst Middle or High School and in preparation for course delivery
  • Post room assignment notices during first two weeks of class
  • Answer student questions regarding GCC courses offered at the site
  • Work with faculty on room changes and posting course cancellations during the semester
  • Address ADA accommodations in classroom seating for classes
  • Assist faculty with computer issues as requested both in the classroom and computer lab
  • Work with the local IT personnel to address  issues that arise during class periods
  • Administer faculty evaluations and return completed evaluations as required
  • If the need arises, contact Campus Security or other school contact person for illness or accident and then fill out site and GCC Accident Report.



  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • Two (2) years' experience working with students and staff  in an educational or training setting
  • Record of dependability and ability to manage a project independently
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively use computers
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse student population
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Massachusetts driver's license.
  • CORI check required


  • Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, or human services
  • Experience working with students and faculty in the college or high school setting
  • Familiarity with digital projection systems and SmartBoard type technologies
  • Familiarity with and commitment to the community college mission
