Detailed Job Description

Quinnipiac University invites application for the position of Admissions Coordinator for the School of Law. 

Major responsibilities include serving as primary administrative support for the Dean and Director of Admissions, supervising secretaries and work-study students, interfacing with prospective students, applicants and the general public. Position reports to the Director of Admissions.


Advise and counsel prospective and admitted students on admissions standards and requirements. Provide comprehensive information on law school programs.

Oversee pre-admission processes.

Conduct follow-up with prospective students and applicants regarding application requirements, missing information, etc.

Maintain accurate records and statistical data on admitted students and applicants.

Enter, document, and revise relevant admissions information in ACES2 in a timely manner.

Act as a liaison between the Law School and prospective and admitted students and their families.

Manage and respond to prospective and admitted student inquiries and communication and insure that all correspondence (letters, email, voicemail, etc.) is replied to in a professional and timely manner.

Manage all mailing projects coordinating necessary resources.

Assist the Director of Admissions with developing a recruitment travel plan and manage the details of recruitment travel. Keep accurate records and report on recruitment activity.

Manage and oversee the schedules and job duties of work-study students and clerical employees assuring that they are used efficiently according to the workload in the office and evaluate their performance.

Recruit and supervise admissions tour guides and ambassadors.

Schedule scholarship interviews and arrange tours of the law center and class visits with faculty.

Support the Assistant Director of Admissions in the development and implementation of both on- and off-campus recruitment events and programs.

Serve as primary contact for LSAC for testing, processing and reporting.  Administer the LSAT.

Maintain the housing forum on the admitted student website and provide local housing information to prospective and admitted students and their families.

Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the Director of Admissions or Dean of Law Admissions.

Qualifications & Special Instructions to Applicants

Bachelor's Degree required.

Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and organizational skills are required.

Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment.

Experience with ACES2 and/or Datatel preferred.
