Under general direction, coordinates hardware and software technology needs for faculty, staff, administrative office, and computer labs in a designated college, school or department; establishes and maintains collaborative relationships within the college, school or department; collaborates with administration on the development and implementation of a strategic technology plan for the college, school or department; coordinates with Information Technology Services (ITS) to assist with providing research, analysis, testing, design, and implementation and installation of new and existing technologies.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Personal Characteristics

•Knowledge of information technology best practices including ITIL framework
•Knowledge of various hardware/software applications
•Knowledge of web development and publishing techniques a plus
•Knowledge of Active Director Users, Computers and Groups
•Knowledge of System Center Configuration Manager
•Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously; project management experience a plus
•Superior communication and customer service skills and abilities

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience; supplemented with three (3) years of related experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Actively participates in the development and implementation of the long-term IT plan for INTO SLU.

Manages the strategic use of technology to support teaching, learning, research and administrative activities of all INTO SLU administration, faculty and staff.

Serves as liaison with the University IT community to enhance effective use of hardware/software and to establish effective working relationships with the Central ITS staff to maintain knowledge of current ITS initiatives. Implementing, managing and ensuring compliance to University IT policies and procedures.

Collaborates with the ITS Service Desk to ensure knowledge transfer of new technology implementation and problem resolution.

Ensuring initiatives are aligned with University, department and ITS strategic objectives and missions.

Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

Strategically collaborates with the INTO SLU administration, the academic department and faculty to ensure technology needs are consistently met and services are delivered as agreed upon.
