Under general direction of the Cross Cultural Center Director, has primary responsibility for coordinating cultural awareness programs for the Cross Cultural Center; assist in the implementation of diversity and inclusion initiatives for the campus community; oversee inter-group programming; provide guidance and training to cross cultural student organizations; and assist in the overall daily operations of the Cross Cultural Center.

Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree preferred, in Higher Education, Social Work, Education, or Student Personnel Administration; supplemented with two (2) years of related experience.
Develops and implements educational programs; advises student organizations; assists students in the development of programs to create community and enhance their appreciation for culture and cultural differences.
Serves as an advisor to various Cross Cultural student organizations; provides training to student organizations on the process of space reservations, financial accounting, and posting procedures; chaperons late night student activities; serves as a financial coordinator to student organizational accounts.
Partners with departments on programmatic cultural activities and events that supplement classroom experiences; works closely with faculty and staff in developing co-curricular activities for learning communities focused on multiculturalism and diversity.
Assists with the coordination of diversity awareness, training, and educational programs in conjunction with student organizations, other University departments, and community partners that support student success.
Collaborates with other university partners including, but not limited to: Housing and Residence Life, U101, Academic Support services, and Undergraduate Initiatives for the facilitation of diversity and inclusion workshops.
Plans and executes major department-sponsored cultural programs for the campus community; assists with the planning and leadership programs for student organizations; assists in the preparation and distribution of informational materials regarding the Cross Cultural Center’s events, activities, and schedules.
Promotes dialogue and aid in the interaction among groups that represent diversity on campus; facilitates, co-teaches, and/or participates in the delivery of credit and non-credit bearing multicultural educational experiences.
Serves on University-wide committees representing the Cross Cultural Center and the Division of Student Development.
Performs additional responsibilities as deemed appropriate by supervision.
