Under general direction, provide advising about the Honors program curriculum and experiences to current and prospective Honors Students. Provide guidance to complete the Honors program and achieve academic success.
Knowledge of University policies, campus resources, student life, and support resources.
Sensitivity to the needs of a diverse student population, including minority and international students. Strong interpersonal relations skills.
Ability to to work as a team.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Master’s degree; supplemented with one (1) year of related work experience in a higher education setting. Past experience with Honors programs preferred.
Provides supplemental advising about the Honors Program curriculum and experiences to current and prospective Honors students at Saint Louis University.
Assists students in creation of short and long term curricular and co-curricular goals. Develops and shares strategies for academic success.
Conducts audits on students’ progress toward their Honors Program requirements. Provides guidance about graduate/professional school, career internships and fellowship opportunities.
Provides direction and support for collaboration with faculty and staff to sustain and enhance community building initiatives.
Supervises a Graduate Assistant.
Other duties as assigned by the Director and/or the Assistant Director.
