Frostburg State University, Department of Physics and Engineering, seeks applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering position to begin Fall 2016. Responsibilities: Teach courses in the Engineering Programs. Mentor students in undergraduate-level research projects. Duties will include student advising, professional development activities, and service to the Department, College, and community.
Minimum Qualifications: Earned Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or closely related field. Demonstrated ability to teach Engineering courses at all levels. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Strong background in university-level teaching. Specific teaching interest in Materials Engineering, Statics, Mechanics of Materials, and other related courses. Candidates with proven expertise in nanotechnology, microfabrication, and the engineering aspects of materials science are especially encouraged to apply.
