Synopsis of Role:

The Payroll Specialist assists with all payroll functions to deliver high quality customer service to all employees. This role ensures accurate, timely processing of bi-weekly payrolls and adjustment payrolls.

Essential Functions: 

  • Ensures timely, accurate payroll processing on a bi-weekly basis in addition to adjustment payrolls.
  • Processes all incoming employee changes.
  • Identifies potential payroll issues and notifies employees promptly of any changes.
  • Follows all payroll-related standard operating procedures.
  • Assists with collection of payroll data for various audits (financial, Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX), 401k, workers compensation, etc....)
  • Assists senior payroll specialist in managing payroll questions from employees, resolving issues, etc.
  • Trains users on time management software, UltiPro.
  • Assists in performing various audits of payroll history.
  • Assists with quarterly and year end process.
  • Conducts research, reporting analysis, reconciliations and/or special projects as requested.
  • Processes and assesses incoming correspondence.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Experience with UltiPro Payroll System preferred.
