Detailed Job Description

Provide academic advisement for prospective and current undergraduate students within the Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering programs located in Bremerton at the Olympic College site.

Coordinate academic programs related to recruitment, retention, and graduation efforts. Responsibilities include the student recruitment process, collaboration with Pullman coordinator to rank Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering program applicants, assessing academic level, responding to academic inquiries, advising students, and developing individual academic plans. Other duties include processing and maintaining student records for undergraduate students in the programs and assisting the Undergraduate Studies Committee Chairperson in administering the undergraduate program, preparing reports, and responding to inquiries regarding undergraduate student program policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of academic advising experience or related experience. Experience leading or directing the work of others. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

One year full-time student services experience in engineering or science related area. Understanding of and ability to apply WSU policies and procedures as related to student records and undergraduate program requirements. Familiarity with WSU systems including myWSU and RONet.

Monthly Salary

Commensurate with qualifications and experience
