Detailed Job Description

The Coordinator of Intramurals will oversee the development and operation of the University intramural program, Coordination of scheduling and maintenance of facilities with Assistant Athletic Director of Facilities; Responsible for event management for all home contest (over 150 contests per year). Other duties as assigned by Director of Athletics.

This appointment type is for one-year, renewable pending funding.

Specific Duties

Oversee operation and programming of University intramural program and supervise all intramural activity.

Hire, train, schedule, supervise and evaluate all student workers and intramural supervisors for intramural program. (10-20 workers)

Responsible for monitoring of and accountable for overall budget administration for Intramural program. Purchase, maintain and update the inventory of equipment and materials needed to successfullyoperate an intramural program.

Coordinate all transportation arrangements for Intramural program with Department of Transportation.

Work and collaborate with Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities in scheduling, maintaining and supervision of facilities used by intramural program.

Work closely with Athletic Communications Director to develop internal media plan; advertise intramural programs and maintain updated information on web site.

Home Event Management Responsibilities:

Responsible for event management, including hiring, training, scheduling and supervision of all event personnel for home contests (over 150 annually)(20-30 workers)

Responsible for compliance of University of La Verne policies and procedures.

Develop and maintain positive, university community, alumni and community relations

Perform other duties, summer duties, and special projects as assigned by the Director of Athletics.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s required
Previous sports management, intramural, recreational or an equivalent combination of education experience preferred.
3 years minimum experience.
1st Aid and CPR Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s preferred
5 years preferred
