Position: Researcher III (Full-Time)
Qualifications: The applicant must hold an MA (ABD or PhD preferred) in Anthropology. Education and experience must be appropriate to the position with documented experience of having served as Field Director on federal and state funded Phase I-III cultural resource management (CRM) archaeological projects in southern Illinois as well as certification by the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency (IHPA) in the excavation and analysis of human skeletal remains as established under the auspices of Illinois' Human Skeletal Remains Protection Act (20 ILSC 3440; 17 IAC 4170).
Duties and Responsibilities: Work assignments depend on the Center's needs and may include grant proposal and report writing; supervision of archaeological field projects; budgeting; prehistoric and historic archaeological artifact analyses; and supervision of CAI staff.
