The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) Coordinator Supervisor serves as the lead person responsible for EFNEP in Spokane County, including paraprofessional educator supervision, community partner relationships and policy system and environmental change strategy implementation to support healthy lifestyles. This position organizes, coordinates, and evaluates the programming.
The Coordinator Supervisor works closely with the EFNEP State Coordinator, other Extension staff and community partners in developing the program and ensures that activities meet the requirements of the NIFA ENFEP Policy Guidelines. With this funding source, WSU EFNEP teaches youth and adults with limited incomes to develop skills and behaviors to eat healthfully. This position works closely with the Spokane Food $ense (SNAP-Ed) Coordinator Supervisor to ensure coordinated programming.
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant extension program discipline and three (3) years of related program experience, which has included supervisory-level experience. A Masters degree in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Master’s in Nutrition or Public Health Registered Dietitian (RDN)
2 years supervisory experience with paraprofessional staff
