Provide oversight and leadership including volunteer management, for Extension work in the 4-H STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Program of Pierce County. This position will oversee the development and implementation of 4-H STEM programming in schools, afterschool programs, 4-H clubs and other locations. This oversight includes the implementation of programs and activities within the policies and procedure of WSUE and specifically 4-H STEM programming under the direction of the WSU Extension Pierce County 4-H Faculty.
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant extension program discipline and two (2) years of related program experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
A Bachelor’s degree in human development, youth development, education, or related field; Master’s degree preferred in human development, education or youth development.
Experience in volunteer management (i.e. recruitment, placement, education and recognition) and volunteerism.
Experience in leadership and teamwork.
