The Operations, Supply Chain and Information Management Department in The University of San Diego's (USD) School of Business Administration is seeking qualified applicants for a tenure track position at the assistant or associate professor level in  Supply Chain Management or Decision Sciences  with a start date of September 2016.

Preference will be given to candidates with teaching and research experience in logistics and supply chain management who have demonstrated excellence in the classroom and have evidence of the ability to generate high quality research. Selected applicants must be able to teach in other areas including operations management, management science, etc.

All candidates must have a doctoral degree in business with a concentration in supply chain management, operations management or decision sciences or a closely related discipline from an AACSB accredited institution.  Those applicants not currently holding a terminal degree must have clear evidence of an expected completion of the doctoral degree prior to the start date.

The teaching environment at the University of San Diego is student-centric with strong emphasis placed on providing a personalized educational experience for students. The department is responsible for teaching courses in supply chain management, management science, operations management, and information systems at the undergraduate level as well as in the full-time MBA, evening MBA, and several MS programs, including an MS in Supply Chain Management.  

Department faculty have published the results of their research in top-tier journals in production, decision sciences and supply chain management.  Many opportunities for industry linkages and research projects come from working closely with the University of San Diego’s Supply Chain Management Institute.

The School of Business Administration (SBA) “is committed to developing socially responsible business leaders with a global outlook through academically rigorous, relevant, and values-based education and research.”  USD's business program is AACSB accredited and is ranked 41st in the nation on Bloomberg BusinessWeek's 2014 list of the top 50 undergraduate business programs.  The University of San Diego's Evening MBA program is ranked 17th in the nation, according to Bloomberg BusinessWeek's latest list of the top 30 part-time programs.  And USD's Full-Time MBA program is 66th in the world and 33rd in the United States for Top Global MBA Programs by The Financial Times, which also ranked SBA’s MBA program number three in the world for entrepreneurship. USD's undergrad program is now one of the top three on the west coast, along with the University of California, Berkeley and the University of Southern California.  USD is also ranked highest among schools in the West Coast Conference.
