Engineers enterprise systems, coordinates integration, and works on complex audio/visual and other technology infrastructure. Provides administrative direction through managing employees, systems, applications, and services within the audio/visual environment, and in evaluating the impact of changes and campus requirements. Works on critical issues and complex audio/visual projects, researches initiatives, and performs usability testing to ensure performance and high-quality deliverables
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field plus four years of experience related to summary of duties or a combination of education and relevant work experience totaling eight years.
Extensive experience (4+ years) with Crestron IDE (SIMPL, SIMPL+, VTPro-e).
Fluent in C, C++, C# languages, and programming environments.
Experience with embedded programming and system design.
Project management experience.
Experience with programming/configuration software for DSPs, (Polycom/Cisco, Clearone, Biamp).
Experience with server administration and enterprise network systems.
Experience with hardware-level system interfaces and protocols (serial, IR, etc.)
Knowledge of software for AV matrix systems.
Knowledge of monitoring systems, networking systems, equipment control systems, video equipment, audio equipment, and lighting equipment.
Knowledge and expertise in planning, implementing, and troubleshooting AV systems.
Knowledge and expertise in hardware, software and system design of AV systems.
Knowledgeable in the construction and use of computer based systems including automation and control systems.
Knowledge and experience working in a customer service, team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Effective decision-making skills where a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Skills in developing modular programming steps.
Skills in effective interpersonal communication.
Skills with the design, implementation, and maintenance of AV systems.
Skills with TCP/IP, application network protocols and operating system configuration.
Ability to exercise effective interpersonal, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to read, write, and interpret technical documentation and procedures pertaining to AV systems and application management.
Ability to think logically, resolve problems, identify tasks, and develop project plans.
