Detailed Job Description

The Box Office Operations Coord oversees all patron services including: box office operations (use and maintenance of the ticketing system, ticket sales, management of information systems related to the ticketing system, preparation of reports), and the training and management of student and staff employees.

Additional Department Summary:

The University of Alabama Theatre & Dance Box Office Operations Coordinator is responsible for providing patrons with a positive experience at all Theatre & Dance performances, under supervision of the Business Manager. The position is an integral part of the marketing team and will assist in the creation of and maintaining cross platform marketing and advertising collateral that enhance and inform patrons of departmental events. Additional duties will include acquiring music rights for all UA Theatre & Dance productions and other duties as assigned. Some nights and weekend work.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and one year of general office experience.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

This position will be required to work in Gulf Shores, Alabama to assist with the summer theater programs offered.

Skills and Knowledge:

Great sales and customer service skills, familiarity with ticketing systems, proficient with Mac and Windows operating systems, proficient with the Microsoft suite, familiar with the adobe in design, photo shop and illustrator.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of the acquisition of music rights and copyright law, working knowledge of ticketing systems and front of house operations in a multiple venue operation.Bachelor's degree is preferred. 56 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 29120.04 Midpoint - $ 40767.96
