Responsibilities

Reporting to the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Promotions, the Director of the Spirit Team is responsible for providing leadership, management, and strategic planning for the Saint Mary's College Spirit Team (a combination of cheer and dance).

1. Must be able to conduct auditions for team members.
2. Conduct practice sessions
3. Choreograph and teach routines
4. Create and enforce squad rules
5. Coordinate and execute fundraising opportunities
6. Maintain budget

Experience and Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor's
3 years of coaching and/or teaching dance routines as well as performing.
Skills/Abilities: CPR/First Aid certified or be able to be certified upon hiring, AACCA certified or able to be certified upon hiring.
Other: Travel with team, weekend/evenings for games and practices.
