Berklee Online is the online extension school of Berklee College of Music, the world’s premier institution for the study of contemporary music for seventy years.  Berklee Online is the leader in online education for the next generation of producers, performers, and entrepreneurs in the evolving music industry. Under the supervision of the Frontline Admissions Supervisor, the Admissions Representative is the first point of contact for all inbound admissions phone calls and emails. The Admissions Representative is responsible for recruiting qualified candidates for the online school in an appropriate and professional manner, while maintaining a high level of service to prospective and existing Berklee Online course and certificate students.

Use of Capabilities (Illustrated by Typical Activities)

  1. Manage inquiries from prospective students through email, telephone, and live chat
  2. Advise prospective students on suitable programs in accordance with their qualifications and objectives about educational planning and processes.
  3. Maintain a customer database containing relevant information and profiles that can be used for research, targeting and customization.
  4. Make prompt and effective contacts to assure that enrollment and service level goals are met
  5. Maintain outreach correspondence with existing non-degree students via follow ups and various call projects
  6. Transfer Degree applicants to appropriate academic advisor in a professional and seamless manner
  7. Maintains liaison with all organizations and individuals involved in the admissions process.
  8. Some weekend and after hours work required when needed, usually around key deadlines

Required Skills

  3. Action-oriented, "can do" attitude demonstrating willingness to accept accountability and responsibility for individual actions.
  4. Expertise maintaining a customer database
  5. Must be a self-starter who works well with others in a team-oriented environment

Required Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree, preferably with concentration in music related field
  2. Up to 3 years of high quality customer service
  3. Knowledge of today’s music styles, leading musical figures, music technologies, and general structure of music industry
  4. Music performance, music production, or music business background preferred.
