Detailed Job Description

The Coordinator, Sponsored Programs is responsible for assisting grant program managers and Business and Financial Resources Office personnel with the management of grants and contracts to ensure compliance with policies and procedures of Anne Arundel Community College, the Federal Office of Management and Budget Federal Circulars and external funding agencies. The Coordinator is also responsible for assisting in sponsored proposal preparation and submission and the coordination and submission of formula grants from Maryland State Department of Education.  

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field required.

Minimum of 3 years experience in accounting, budgeting, finance, and/or business administration.

Working knowledge of grant rules and regulations, including Circulars A-21, A-133, CFR 215 and Uniform Grants Guidance under Title 2 of the Code of Federal Regulations.

Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Strong analytical skills.

High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite software and Internet search techniques. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred.

Ability to coordinate and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Ability to deal effectively with faculty, administrators, staff, government agencies, grants personnel, funding institutions, and the public.  

Preferred Qualifications

Federal grants experience preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred.
Experience with Datatel a plus.
