Teach undergraduate and graduate level social work courses, both face-to-face and on-line, advise students, and perform committee work as other full time faculty.
The University of Alabama School of Social Work invites applications for an Instructor position to begin in January, 2016. This is a nine- month, non-tenure earning position that is renewable annually depending on need, funding and performance. Additionally, there are opportunities to teach in the summer sessions for additional compensation.
Required: Qualified applicants shall have a MSW and two years post masters professional practice experience.
Preferred: Candidates that are license eligible, with 5 years or more professional practice experience and previous teaching and or higher education experience are preferred.
Applicants should be eager to teach in both the undergraduate and master’s programs (four courses or the equivalent each semester) and have interest and expertise in reaching our diverse student body through online education and face-to- face classroom experiences.
