Detailed Job Description

Responsible for managing learning support services at a campus level. Learning Support Services include but are not limited to services that are supplemental to classroom-based learning such as peer tutoring, professional tutoring, communications labs, testing center, and math labs. Collaborates with academic divisions to ensure student needs are met by providing quality academic support services using learning technologies.

 Osceola CampusDepartment: Learning Center Degree Requirement: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution (Master's degree preferred)

Essential Job Functions

1. Manages all functions of Learning Support Services.
2. Supervises assigned full-time and part-time staff.
3. Provides training opportunities for all assigned staff.
4. Provides leadership in how to use instructional technology to aid student learning.
5. Ensures all areas of responsibility are properly staffed at a level that provides quality customer service and exceptional learning opportunities.
6. Oversees and manages budgets related to the learning support services of the campus. Completes timesheets and other human resources paperwork as appropriate.
7. Works with faculty to integrate services with course curricula.
8. Works with the academic departments to closely coordinate staff and resources.
9. Maximizes student learning opportunities, both in the scope of services offered and in the amount of time those services are offered.
10. Provides leadership in creating the best possible learning environment for learning support on campus.
11. Other duties assigned.


1. Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution [required]. Master's degree preferred.
2. Teaching experience, preferably at the college level.
3. Supervisory experience, preferably in an educational setting.
4. A demonstrated commitment to diversity.
5. Must be able to perform all of the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accomodation.

1. Excellent Communication Skills.
2. Deep knowledge of instructional technology and learning theory.
3. Ability to work with diverse constituencies to provide a unified and coherent set of services.
4. Ability to supervise and coordinate.
5. Ability to work effectively in a diverse community and meet the needs of diverse student populations.


$42,645 - $53,726 per year
