Works with School of Education faculty to design online courses for global delivery as well as online elements for face-to-face and hybrid courses. Coaches faculty in the use of educational technology, with a particular focus in modeling technology for the K-12 education environment.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in instructional design, technology, education plus one year of experience directly related to job duties or equivalent combination of education and experience totaling five years. Minimum of six months of experience with HTML or Dreamweaver is required.
M.S. or PhD in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field. Experience teaching at the college level and/or in online environments preferred. Experience teaching in K-12 preferred.
Knowledge of motivation and learning theory as well as instructional design theories, processes, and elements is essential.
Knowledge of available technologies and their use in education is required.
Extensive knowledge of the Canvas learning management system preferred.
Familiarity with Articulate Storyline preferred.
Understanding of the education profession.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Demonstrated proficiency in online course design and development is essential.
Ability to work in a rapid prototyping, iterative environment in close consultation with a creative team.
Ability to work with faculty in a coaching relationship.
